Grace C. Jordan

Grace C. Jordan teaches the elementary music methods course, MUE 4311, at the University of Central Florida. She is a veteran educator of thirty - three years in the Orange County School System and is presently located at Arbor Ridge K – 8 School, where she teaches general music to kindergarten through 5th grade. She is also the director of choral activities, the Orff/Recorder Ensemble, and all theatrical productions associated with this school.

Jordan is a past president of the Central Florida Orff Chapter and was named Teacher of the Year at Azalea Park Elementary School as well as Arbor Ridge K – 8 School. She has served as the director of numerous county-wide honor choruses throughout the state of Florida as well as a clinician in many counties throughout this state. In 2012, she was asked to be the presenter for the Florida Elementary Music Educators Summer Music Conference. The following year, she was the director of the elementary choral reading session at the Florida Music Educator’s Conference in Tampa, Florida. Grace Jordan was recently invited to lead regional Orff workshops in Central Florida. Southwest Florida and Atlanta, Georgia.

Jordan holds a B.A. degree in music education from Centenary College in Shreveport, Louisiana and an M.M. degree in vocal performance from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge Louisiana. She also received her Orff Level 1 Certification in Florida and Level 2 Certification at the University of Nevada Las Vegas.
