Erik Cole received his Bachelor's degree in clarinet and oboe performance from Butler University, and then went on to earn a Master's degree in Woodwind doubling from the Eastman School of Music, where he was required to study and perform on all five woodwind instruments.

Mr. Cole currently holds the position of second clarinet with the Brevard Symphony Orchestra and regularly performs with Broadway Orlando.  He is a long-standing member of Disney's Candlelight Orchestra, and frequently plays with various local theaters and orchestras.  In addition to teaching at UCF, Mr. Cole also serves on the adjunct faculty at Rollins College and the Florida Institute of Technology.
