Undergraduate Programs
The Department of Music is dedicated to the proposition that music is basic to the human condition; that music promotes inclusiveness, diversity and understanding in a global society; that music enhances creativity, the source of all human progress; and that music elevates the human spirit. The primary mission of the department is to promote the musical arts by providing our students with the best education possible and by providing meaningful and diverse experiences in performance, education, composition, scholarly research and service to the region, state and beyond.

The scheduling of our curriculum gives students a great deal of rehearsal and performance time and input from our professors.
- Music Composition, B.A. prospective composition students must audition for and be accepted for either the Music, B.A., the Music Education, B.M.E., or the Music Performance, B.M., or the Jazz Studies, B.M. for their first two years of study.
