UCF Flute Boot Camp

June 8-10, 2018

Campus Location: Performing Arts Center - Music, 120M

The Flute Boot camp is a three day intensive program designed to educate and inspire young flutists. In addition to the daily curriculum, guest artists will give classes to the students.

  • Preparing for Marching Band (Memorization)
  • Daily Flute Master Class

Early Registration Tuition: $120 by May 1

Late Registration Tuition (after May 1, 2018): $150 by June 1, 2018

15% discount for second child.

Early Registration Housing: $100 by May 1
Regular Housing: $120 by June 1

Applications close June 1, 2018 at 11:59pm or when camps reach capacity


Parking Garage I (next to PAC Music Building) for $5 per day, or metered parking behind the Music Building, in front of the Burnett Honors College and Rehearsal Hall. Printable UCF Campus Map.


Overnight campers will stay in UCF's Libra Community housing.

Drop-off for housing will be inside the Performing Arts Center - Music Building at the Box Office. Check-in time for students that are staying in housing will be at 4pm June 7th.

Check-out will occur in the morning on the last day of camp. Luggage storage will be available.

Linens and towels are provided.

What to Bring

  • Yoga mat
  • Face towel
  • Refillable plastic bottle
  • Flute and piccolo (If you don't have a piccolo, UCF will provide one)

All events will be held in the Rehearsal Hall unless otherwise noted.

Day 1-2

7:30-7:45am - Check-in INSIDE Performing Arts Center Music Building reception area
8:00-9:00am - Yoga at the Performing Arts Center M120 (Escribano or Hunt)
9:00-10:00am - Flute Aerobics (Nora Lee García, D.M.A.)
10:00-11:00am - Flute Orchestra
11:00am-12:00pm - Zumba
12:00-1:00pm - Lunch and Tutoring sessions with assistants
1:00-2:00pm - Flute Orchestra
2:00-3:00pm - Flute Master Class with Irene Pruzan (All-State, memorization skills, concentration skills) 
3:00pm - Check-out INSIDE Performing Arts Center Music Building reception area

Day 3

7:30-7:45am - Check-in INSIDE Performing Arts Center Music Building reception area
9:00-10:00am - Flute Warm up (Dr. Garcia)
10:00-11:00pm -  Allstate Preparation (Dr. Garcia)
11:00-12:00pm - Flute Orchestra
12:00-1:00pm - Lunch
1:00-2:30pm - Flute Orchestra
2:30-3:00pm - Prepare for Concert
3:00-4:00pm - Boot Camp showcase and Flute Institute Open House. Final concert and All County Music store display, Rehearsal Hall
