One-week intensive flute performance program
Campus Location: Rehearsal Hall and PAC 120M
The University of Central Florida Summer Flute & Piccolo Institute is a one-week intensive program designed to educate and inspire young flutists (middle school or high school) through an interesting and cultivating curriculum that examines many aspects of flute performance.

June 18-21 (Day 1-4)
8:45am - Middle school arrival time
9:00-10:00am - Sound & Technique class — Middle School
10:00-11:30am - Flute Orchestra Rehearsal — Middle School
11:30am - 12:30pm - Lunch (at the Student Union)
12:30pm - High school arrival time
12:30-1:00pm - Practice alone or with others (Tutors available)
1:00-2:00pm - Flute Orchestra with Middle and High School
2:00-3:00pm - Preparation for Allstate and solo Ensemble — High School
2:00-3:00pm - Work in Ensemble pieces — Middle School
3:00pm - Middle School finish
3:00pm - High School late lunch break
4:00-5:00pm - Work in Ensemble pieces — High School
5:00-6:00pm - Sound & Technique class
June 22, FINAL DAY (Day 5)
9:00-9:30am - Technique class (Sound and Technique)
9:30-11:00am - Flute Orchestra Rehearsal
11:00am - 12:00pm - Lunch (at the Student Union)
12:00-12:45pm - Dress Rehearsal
1:00-2:00pm - Final Concert Flute Orchestra (Concert Black, black long dress or Black Skirt or pants)

A flute orchestra is a group of flute players that will be covering all voices like a regular orchestra. In this institute, we will have:- Concert Flute in C
- Piccolo
- Flute in Bb
- Flute in Eb
- Alto
- Bass
- Contra Bass (7 in the whole United States)
- The DOUBLE CONTRA (The only one in the whole United States)
- NEW Contra Bass in G
- Will there be a fee for the final Concert?
No, the concert is FREE and please invite as many guests as you like. This is a very unique experience. - May I stay in the camp with my son/daughter?
You are welcome to come and watch our sections. - If I stay, what I could do so I don't get bored?
On campus is a lovely Barnes & Noble and Student Union. Also, we are very close to Waterford Lakes Mall.

Early Registration Tuition: $300, postmarked by December 31, 2011
Regular Tuition: $350
Tuition Deadline: June 1, 2012
15% discount for second child. Include a $50 non-refundable deposit for each applicant to secure seats. Full balance is due before June 1, 2012. Full refunds will only be issued if the applicant is not accepted or if the class is full. Housing is available for an additional $195 for the week.
